Embedding Timelines in Canvas
Link or embed your Timezylla timelines directly into a canvas for visual context.
Why embed timelines?
See your project schedule in context alongside brainstorming notes, architecture diagrams, or stakeholder maps. The embedded timeline stays synced with the source — update the timeline, and the canvas view reflects the changes.
How to embed
1. Click the timeline embed tool in the Canvas toolbar.
2. Select an existing timeline from your account.
3. A live preview appears on the canvas showing your Gantt chart.
4. Resize and position it like any other canvas element.
Embedded vs linked
Embedded — A live, read-only view of the timeline rendered directly on the canvas. Shows tasks, milestones, and dependencies. Updates when you refresh the canvas.
Linked — A clickable card that opens the full Timeline editor in a new tab. Useful when you want a lightweight reference without the visual preview.
Editing the source timeline
Double-click the embedded timeline to open the full Timeline editor. Any changes you make save back to the source timeline. The canvas embedding updates the next time you open or refresh the canvas.
