Known Issues & Limitations

Current limitations and workarounds for Timezylla.

Current limitations

Canvas undo — Undo history is limited to 50 steps per session. Closing and reopening a canvas resets the undo stack.

Mobile — There is no mobile app yet. The responsive web version works on iOS Safari and Chrome for Android, but Canvas works best on desktop with a mouse.

Real-time collaboration — Canvas and Timeline are single-user for now. Share links support view-only or turn-based editing.

Image uploads — Maximum 5 MB per image on Canvas. SVG files must be under 1 MB.

Timeline embed sync — Embedded timelines in Canvas refresh when the canvas is opened or manually refreshed, not in real-time.

Desktop app — Not yet code-signed; Windows SmartScreen will show a warning on first install. See the Desktop App install guide for how to proceed.

How to report a bug

Use the feedback button in the app. This sends your report with page context directly to the Timezylla team.

For urgent issues, email hello@timezylla.com.

Expected behaviours that aren't bugs

Canvas auto-layout shifts — When you add a new node to an auto-layout diagram (mind map, flowchart, org chart), existing nodes may reposition to maintain balanced spacing. This is by design.

Timeline export captures current zoom — Exports render exactly what's visible at your current zoom level. Zoom out before exporting for a wider view.

Theme and design mode stored locally — Your theme and design mode choices are stored in browser local storage, not in your account. Switching browsers or clearing storage resets to defaults.
