Exporting Timelines — PDF, PPTX, PNG, Excel

How to export your timeline to different formats for sharing and presentations.

Export formats

PDF — Landscape layout, presentation-ready. Includes all visible tasks, milestones, and dependencies. Great for printing or email attachments.

PowerPoint (PPTX) — Fully editable slides. Each swimlane becomes a section. Edit colors, fonts, and layout in PowerPoint after export.

PNG — High-resolution screenshot of the current Gantt view. Perfect for pasting into documents, Slack, or presentations.

SVG — Vector format that scales to any size without losing quality. Ideal for large-format printing or embedding in web pages.

Excel (XLSX) — All task data in a spreadsheet. Includes dates, durations, assignees, and dependencies. Good for reporting and data analysis.

CSV — Plain text export compatible with any spreadsheet tool. Lightweight and universal.

How to export

1. Click 'Export' in the Timeline toolbar.

2. Choose your format from the dropdown.

3. The file downloads immediately to your browser's download folder.

4. For PDF and PNG, the export captures exactly what's visible in the current view and zoom level.

Tips for better exports

Zoom out before exporting to fit more of your timeline in the PDF/PNG.

Use the 'Week' timescale for most presentations — it balances detail with readability.

For PowerPoint exports, the colors match your current timeline theme. Switch themes before exporting to change the look.
